I'm Ross Mulhall, I'm a freelance photographer, filmmaker, licensed drone operator, and model based in the North of Ireland.
My journey in photography began as a young teenager. Growing up beside a traditional Irish fishing port, my father encouraged me to photograph local fishing boats for his paintings. That experience had a lasting influence on my work and sparked a lifelong passion for capturing the sea and the people connected to it. Once I recognised my natural talent for capturing authentic moments, it marked the beginning of my journey within the photography and filmmaking industry.
Since then, I have worked on major film and television productions as a Video Camera Assistant on - Derry Girls and Krypton, and as Main Unit A-Camera on Game of Thrones Season 8. I've also worked as a Photographer's Assistant and Second Shooter alongside Helen Sloan on productions including - How to train your dragon, Death and Nightingales, Torvill & Dean, Across and In-Between by Suzanne Lacy, and Game of Thrones Season 8. I have also worked as a photographer and videographer within the Super-Yacht industry, capturing memorable moments for charter guests aboard the luxury yacht Savannah.
I've collaborated with brands including Canon UK, where I tested their latest camera equipment and produced imagery for their 2020 campaign, with my work displayed online and in camera stores across the UK and Ireland. I've also worked with Carhartt, Grundéns, and a range of local businesses.
Alongside my work behind the camera, I also work as a model and am represented by ACA. For modelling bookings, please get in touch through ACA.
I hope my work offers an insight into how I see the world, helps people connect more deeply with the sea, and perhaps inspires you to create your own perspective through photography and film.
